HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH GOD?

 

GOD of Heaven and earth said in the Book of Jeremiah 29:13, Holy Bible (King James Version):

"And ye shall seek Me [GOD], and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart."

GOD WILL AGAIN RULE THE EARTH

In our civilization today, the word, ''GOD'' has become too common that we, humans, tend to ignore or misuse it.

I, myself, solemnly address GOD, as the SUPREME BEING, far above all angelic and human beings.

PERSONALITY OF GOD

GOD is a Being with personality; and not an impersonal force like air or smoke floating around.

By personality, I mean that GOD has intelligent mind of His own, emotions, and free-will.

We were created by GOD; thus, we humans have these same characteristics.

If we were a product of evolution, then we would be a mindless, emotionless, and will-less piece of flesh or simplistic blob.

THE GOD THAT SPEAKS

When I was eight years old, I prayed like this: "GOD, please speak to me."

Note that I spoke this in my native Filipino language at the time.

I only learned how to speak in English later in life.

But I shall never forget that day, I still vividly recall that afternoon: I was alone upstairs in our house in Pandacan Manila, Philippines.

Nobody told me how to say that prayer, nobody taught me those words -- it came naturally out of my decision, out of my heart and mind as a child.

In fact, I never got the chance to tell my siblings nor my parents that I prayed like so.

Then, certain things began to happen one by one that later in life will prove to me that GOD really exists and is concerned about our lives.

VOICE OF GOD: CONSCIENCE

Few months afterwards, I was having a tantrum in front of my mother, Leonor.

She was asking me to do something but I refused to obey.

Instead, I was telling her words meant to hurt her because of her previous unfulfilled promise to buy me something I wanted.

Then all of a sudden I felt a pain building up in my emotion.

And a voice inside me spoke along these lines: "This is the exact pain that your mother is suffering because of what you're saying to her. What you're doing is bad."

I wasn't sure on the exact words or language used but that's as nearly as I could paraphrase.

That message came to me very fast; but what's amazing was that I understood it as a child.

At that age, that's the first time in my life that I felt a strong pity for my mother; and I loathed myself at that point.

The pain grew so much that I ran toward her, embraced her, sobbed, and asked for forgiveness.

Indeed, it was my unforgettable experience that later proved to me that humans have a living conscience inside our innermost being.

Prior to this event, nobody ever told me about the word, conscience.

ANOTHER EVENT HAPPENED

Not long after that, another similar thing happened to me.

One evening inside a large house, some close relatives of mine were gathering to do a certain activity.

Nobody beforehand told me what the activity was; and I never had any idea about its consequences.

When they started doing it, all of a sudden something inside me spoke clearly, saying: "Run, run, outside the house. What they are doing is not good."

I followed the voice of my conscience and intuition, and run as fast as my feet carried me.

What surprised me the most was that nobody ever stopped me nor tried to ask where I was going.

Come to think of it, an eight year old child like me ought to be inside the house that time of night.

And even days after that event, nobody cared to ask me questions.

Later in life I read in the Holy Bible the grave consequence of that kind of activity that my relatives were doing.

And I realized that it was the Biblical GOD who spoke in my conscience and intuition.

Prior to this event, I wasn't aware nor had anybody ever told me that there is such a thing as the Holy Bible.

HOW I DESCRIBE GOD

I wrote an article more than 12 years ago, declaring to the world who and what kind of GOD I'm serving and worshipping; regardless of my lowly position in society.

And you may ask: "Why should I listen to you? You are not rich nor influential."

Remember what the Apostle of Christ in Israel, wrote below,

26 "Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called (by GOD). Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

27 "But GOD chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; GOD chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong (powerful).

28 "GOD chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things — and the things that are not — to nullify the things that are,

29 "so that no one may boast before GOD."

(First Epistle to Corinthians 1:26-29, Holy Bible, New International Version)

SINNERS' PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

“Dear GOD THE FATHER,

"I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness.

"I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life.

"I want to trust in Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord [owner of my life]; from this day forward. 

"Guide my life and help me to do Your will according to the Holy Scriptures.

"I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
