TWO THINGS DIFFERENT ARE NOT THE SAME
Let's clarify this question:
"Brother Paul, I know you experienced many supernatural events in your life. Please tell us what shall we do to be sure that we go to heaven when we die?"
PRAYER FROM MY HEART
Before I give my answer, let me utter this prayer, as follows:
Dear Heavenly Father, the only TRUE EVER LIVING GOD.
I come before Your Throne.
I wholeheartedly kneel down before Your holy presence.
I need Your help, because I feel most unworthy to answer the above question.
Please, our Heavenly Father, in Jesus' Name, and in the power of Your Holy Spirit.
I beseech You to grant me the truth and wisdom. Amen.
MY REPLY
Let me explain it this way.
In our approach to GOD, the number one characteristic and the first and foremost requirement must be TRUTH.
Truth, truth, and truth. There must be no slightest sign of a lie.
Remember, Lies and Liars will go to HELL.
There must never be a lie, or lies, or deception between you and GOD.
The question that is first and foremost to be established is:
Are you calling on the True Living GOD?
Are you calling on the GOD who expressly revealed Himself as the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
No religion on earth has a replica or graven image for this one and only SUPREME BEING.
No religion on earth can falsify this SUPREME BEING who is above and beyond space, distance, and time.
This GOD is outside the material world.
This GOD is outside the created universe, because He is FAR SUPERIOR and GREATER than His creation - both spiritual and physical creations.
This GOD is omnipotent (all powerful). Nobody like Him.
This GOD is omniscient (all knowing). Nobody else can do this.
This GOD is omnipresent (can be present anywhere at will). Nobody else can possibly do that.
This GOD is omnipresent (can be present anywhere at will). Nobody else can possibly do that.
This GOD expressly commanded:
"Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."

This GOD who revealed Himself as the TRINITY - Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
This GOD is the LORD of Heavenly Hosts.
"Hosts" means armies; thus, "HEAVENLY HOSTS" means ARMIES OF HEAVEN.
And the Armies of Heaven are powerful intelligent beings, innumerable, countless, and beyond measure.
The population of mankind on earth is nothing in comparison to the Holy Angelic Beings.
This GOD who expressly revealed Himself as the full-fledged CREATOR of angelic beings and of the human race.
NATIONS CORRUPTED THE TRUTH
All the way up to 100 A.D., the disciples and followers of Christ still only worshipped the True Living GOD.
However, upon the death of the Apostles of Christ, that's the time many different religions in the world sprouted and introduced different gods & goddesses to worship with a false semblance of Christianity.
REDEEMER GOD
But the True GOD who expressly revealed Himself to have begotten a SON in the flesh, and specifically called His Name to be Jesus Christ (which means the Anointed One).
And the purpose of His SON to come in the flesh is to die in Calvary and rise again to life, to atone for the sin and rebellion of mankind.
REASON: to save mankind who is in the flesh, and who sinned in the flesh.
Obviously, spirit cannot die, that's why Jesus came in the flesh.
OUR GOOD WORKS
Before we offer our good works or holy acts, the above truth MUST FIRST BE ESTABLISHED.
We must first repent of all known sins, then accept Christ Jesus into our hearts as LORD and SAVIOR as commanded by GOD the Father (see Gospel of John 1:12; and Epistle to Romans 10:9)
If not, then we are living in lies and deception.
Despite that we might be sincere and religious. We are actually sincerely deceived and mistaken.
Because Satan and his demons are master deceivers. Satan will make you call on many gods and goddesses, instead of calling on the One True Living GOD, and His Anointed Christ Jesus, His only begotten Son.
Like what Satan did to our ancestors, Adam & Eve in the GARDEN OF EDEN.
Satan duped them to commit HIGH TREASON against the divine government of GOD ALMIGHTY.
Satan will do anything to bring as many souls to hell with him and the demons.
This GOD who expressly revealed Himself as the full-fledged CREATOR of angelic beings and of the human race.

From 4004 B.C. at the time of Adam, Eve, Abel (Adam's son), all the way up to Noah (the Ark Builder), Abraham, and up to Moses - the people of GOD only worshipped the One True Living GOD.

He has a diabolical plot to create an numerical imbalance between loyal versus disloyal to GOD to morally unseat GOD from authority in the universe: via coup d'etat.
Satan tried it once by instigating sedition among the angelic beings: but only one-third joined him.
In the last days, Satan will try to do it again: this time, with mankind.
THEREFORE, before you and your family offer good works or perform good deeds, first ESTABLISH and ENSURE that you are serving the True Living GOD and not the many false gods and goddesses.
CREATOR AND FATHER GOD
It is right and true to pray to GOD, because He is the Creator and Sustainer of everything in life.
GOD is not a created being. GOD is uncreated, while humans are created beings.
Why will you call upon created human beings like you and me? They are finite, limited, and powerless.
Only GOD is correctly addressed as FATHER because He breathed His spirit-life unto Adam our very first parent.
That breath of life inside us, is what qualifies GOD to be called our FATHER.
The word, "father" means the originator, the source, the one giving life.
Thus, Jesus Christ taught His followers the true, right, and correct way to pray: as follows:

If you call GOD as your FATHER, you are speaking the truth and not a lie.

"But the fearful (coward to face the truth), and unbelieving (faith-less), and the abominable (obscene and heinous), and murderers, and whoremongers (lascivious with inordinate sexual indulgences), and sorcerers (involved in witchcraft), and idolaters, and all LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the SECOND DEATH."

FIRST DEATH is earthly death -- the spirit & soul depart from your body.
